Kennywood Picnic Day!

Yesterday we took Owen to Kennywood Park!

A Beautiful August Summer Day

Well, it has been a busy summer, with dog-sitting 3 dogs, a surgery, Jed traveling a lot, a baby shower, get-togethers with friends, a Disney vacation, with lots of stuff coming up, like the annual food festival, a couple of birthdays, going to Kennywood, more get-togethers with friends, moving my brother into his new house, and getting Owen ready for preschool in September!

It has also been a super rainy summer. We finally had a beautiful day today, and we spent the afternoon outside. I got some pictures of Owen, being his goofy self. He was loving the camera!

And here is a bunch of flowers we have on our patio.

Amigurumi & Nemo

Amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals. The word is derived from a combination of the Japanese words ami, meaning crocheted or knitted, and nuigurumi, meaning stuffed doll. I first crocheted an Easter bunny at Easter time for Owen, and then I made an elephant. Owen loves them!

Owen loves Nemo and has taken to putting on his safety goggles from his work bench and pretending that he is the scuba diver in the movie.

Today at Home Depot we bought some Nemo wall stickers for Owen's room.

Owen loves the Nemo blanket that Grandma made for him. It is very soft and warm, and perfect for naps on the couch!

Friday Fun

We started the day creating potato head people. We made a pirate, Dennis Rodman, Santa with a purse, and a baby!

Then Owen decided to be a Storm Trooper.

After lunch Owen wanted to go outside and ride his bike.

After all of that riding O needed to kick back and take a break.

A Fun Saturday

It was really nice out on Saturday so we spent a lot of time outside. Owen got a new Diego toy that blows bubbles!

Owen loves to play in his tree house on his swingset. He has to climb up the rock wall to get up there - he is really good at it!

Owen loves to slide!

It takes some serious concentration to climb the ladder to the monkey bars.

It's so fun to swing!

Owen also got a haircut! We used daddy's shirt as a smock. Owen thought he was Yoda!

After a long day, Owen took a nap with Zoey.
