Happy Easter!

Owen woke up this morning and discovered that the Easter bunny had left him a basket with presents!

The Easter bunny brought Owen the X-wing fighter!

Grandpa and Grandma sent Owen some presents for Easter, too.

We went to Poppy and Meme's house for Easter dinner with the Belan Bunch. Poppy says that we are the Belan Bunch because he had 3 kids and he got 3 more when his kids got married!

'Twas the night before Easter.

Tonight we dyed Easter eggs for the Easter bunny. It was Owen's first time ever coloring eggs. He was great at it and had lots of fun! Orange is his favorite.

Poppy came over to help Owen. Poppy loves to dye eggs!

Poppy showed Owen exactly how to put the egg into the cup with the Easter egg dye.

"Mommy, am I doing this right? Why am I doing this again?"

Owen really enjoyed watching the eggs turn from white to bright.

After coloring the Easter eggs, Poppy helped tuck Owen in for the night.

Now we wait for the Easter bunny to bring Owen his candy and toys!

How does he remember that?

So this morning Owen started the day by eating his English muffin, or his "poppy beards" as he calls it. While he was eating I made a piece of toast and sat down to eat with him. Suddenly Owen pointed to the counter and said, "Charlie Brown makes it too." I was like, what? I turned and looked at the counter and saw nothing that was Charlie Brown. So I asked Owen what he meant. And he said, "Charlie Brown makes toast too." I started to get nervous, thinking, is he seeing things? Then I remembered THIS!

Of COURSE! Charlie Brown and Snoopy make toast for their friends for Thanksgiving! What a crazy memory the boy has!

Then Owen pretty much spent the rest of the day doing what he always does, which is recreating scenes from Star Wars using his nifty little Galactic Hero Star Wars characters. He is really into Jawas right now, carrying him EVERYWHERE.

It's tiring playing Star Wars all day.

Owen couldn't finish his dinner because he was so tired after a day of playing Star Wars. Although, I guess it is tiring helping daddy clean his super messy room.

We had fun using Skype to talk to daddy last week when daddy was in Asheboro. Owen likes daddy to read a story to him when he goes to bed, so I just put the laptop on Owen's bed and he gets to see daddy whilst he reads him a story!





Uncle Matt came to visit last week. Owen loves to dress up like Uncle Matt.

Owen wasn't sure he liked cousin Collin playing with his stuff though.
